Michaels to headline last ever show at Brown County Arena

ASHWAUBENON – For over 60 years the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena has been host to sporting events, concerts and large events alike.

This spring the historic arena will close its doors forever, but not before going out with one of the biggest parties it has ever seen.

At 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, multi-platinum singer/songwriter and reality TV star Bret Michaels will bring his record-breaking “Unbroken” world tour to rock the arena for its final time (which also happens to be Michaels’ sixth time headlining the arena, more than any other performer).

With over 50 million records sold, the “Rock Of Love” star and “Celebrity Apprentice” winner Michaels is no stranger to the Brown County Arena, having kicked off several world tours and filmed the video for his No. 1 hit song “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” in Brown County.

Michaels, a lifelong Type 1 juvenile diabetic was recently featured in Yahoo’s Inspired By series after launching his viral Instagram video #HotRocksChallenge that will see a winner receive $10,000 to a charity of their choice through his Life Rocks Foundation in addition to a VIP rockstar getaway for two.

Visit: BretMichaels.com/Unbroken to take the challenge, hear a clip of Michaels’ upcoming single “Unbroken” (recorded and co-written with daughter Jorja-Bleu) and watch never-before-seen footage from the music video.

“I consider the people of Green Bay three generations of amazing friends and family,” said Michaels. “They love their football, they love their rock ‘n’ roll, having a great time, and they love giving back to great charities equally – all of which I can relate to.”

Michaels has performed to sold out crowds across the globe, and through his Life Rocks Foundation gives back to local charities with donations in towns where he performs.

“As a Type 1 juvenile diabetic, it’s my way of leaving something behind until I come back – and we are going to do amazing things this time with Make A Wish Wisconsin, Happily Ever After Animal Sanctuary, and JDRF of Northeast Wisconsin,” said Michaels.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at ReschCenter.com, by phone 1-800-895-0071 or at the Ticket Star Box Office in the Resch Center.
