The WIAA released the girls’ basketball brackets Feb. 10 for the postseason.
Despite losing to Green Bay Preble Feb. 8, Bay Port still received a No. 1 seed in Division 1 and will host the winner of No. 17 Manitowoc Lincoln/No. 16 Sheboygan South Feb. 22. If the Pirates manage to win that game, they’d host the regional finals the next day.
No. 5 De Pere is in Bay Port’s same side of the bracket and will host No. 12 Brookfield East Feb 22.
The Pirates and Redbirds would face off in a sectional semifinal game at Green Bay Preble High School Feb. 28 if both would win their first two games.
No. 3 Preble is in the bottom half of the bracket and will host No. 14 Fond du Lac Feb. 22.
Preble would play Bay Port or De Pere in the sectional finals at Manitowoc Lincoln High School March 2 if things got that far.
In Division 2, No. 2 Notre Dame would host No. 7 Ashwaubenon Feb. 22 if the Jaguars win their opener against No. 10 Green Bay West Feb. 19.
No. 3 Pulaski will host the winner of No. 6 Kaukauna/No. 11 Marinette Feb. 22.
The Red Raiders could potentially play Notre Dame or Ashwaubenon Feb. 23 in the regional finals.
On the upper half of the bracket, No. 4 West De Pere will host No. 5 Green Bay Southwest Feb. 22. The winner of that game would likely have to travel to No. 1 Luxemburg-Casco Feb. 23.
