With the Nov. 9 resignation of longtime Ashwaubenon High School head football coach Mark Jonas, the district is accepting applicants for the position.

“I look forward to the process over the next two months to find the right fit for the football program and Ashwaubenon High School,” said Activities Director/Associate Principal Nick Senger. “We will hire a candidate who is student-centered, communicates effectively and is ready for the exciting challenges that the coaching environment brings. The program will continue to be competitive in the tough Fox River Classic Conference. Our football program has been and will continue to be a program that instills the pride, tradition and excellence we expect in our student-athletes.”

Jonas resigned after 10 years at the helm, leading the Jaguars to a 64-38 overall record and helping the team keep its 21-year streak of qualifying for the WIAA postseason intact.

The Jags finished 5-5 this past season, falling to Marshfield in the Level 1 playoffs, 34-14.

Ashwaubenon’s best runs under Jonas were in 2010 and 2013. Those teams both won FRCC titles and finished 10-1 but fell in the second round of the postseason.

Teaching positions may be available in the Ashwaubenon School District that goes with this position. All applicants are encouraged to apply for the position on WECAN by CLICKING HERE.
