Jaguars score two defensive touchdowns in beating the Trojans: Ashwaubenon/West De Pere Roundup

GREEN BAY-The Ashwaubenon Jaguars girls tennis team swept the Green Preble Hornets by a final of 7-0. (Sept.11)

Singles:

1 Marisa Marohl (Ash) over Krysten Capwell (Gbp), 6-0, 6-0.

2 Natasha Schiegg (Ash) over Mai Lee Vang (Gbp), 6-0, 6-0.

3 Emily DeLaurelle (Ash) over Rebecca Hadzima (Gbp), 6-0, 6-0.

4 Lily Hansford (Ash) over Kaylyn Wiater (Gbp), 6-0, 6-0.

Doubles:

1 Maddy Coopmans/Caylee Behnke (Ash) over Mai Nou Van/Mai Vang (Gbp), 6-0,6-3.

2 Courtney Behnke/Kennedy Conradt (Ash) over Taylor Wagner/Renae VandenPlas (Gbp), 6-2, 6-0.

3 Chloe Ellis/Addy Francois (Ash) over Grace Flood/Faith Prokash (Gbp), 6-1, 6-2.

SHEBOYGAN-The Ashwaubenon Jaguars girls swim team won 7 of the 11 varsity events held Tuesday afternoon at Sheboygan North High School. (Sept. 11)

Hallory Domnick continued her stellar sophomore season for the Jaguars by winning the 200 and 500-yard freestyle races.

In addition, Evelyn Geurts won the 50-yard freestyle, Sydney Popp prevailed in the 200-yard IM, and Jocelyn McNicoll captured the 100-yard breaststroke race.

The Jaguars won both the 200 and 400-yard freestyle relay races.

The Golden Raiders, however, prevailed in the dual meet by a final of 88-82 with depth at the lower flights.

DE PERE-Rylie Severson and the Ashwaubenon Jaguars girls golf team battled the winds at Highland Ridge Golf Course to finish sixth overall. (Sept. 13)

No player broke 40 for the nine-hole tournament.

Thatโ€™s what the Ashwaubenon Jaguars football team did on their first three drives that each resulted in touchdowns versus the Green Bay Southwest Trojans en route to a 44-21 victory. (Sept. 14)

Cadian Vang threw for 87 yards and rushed for one touchdown.

Cam Wheeler pounded out 95 yards on the ground and had two touchdown runs of 1, and 28 yards respectively.

Evan VandenElzen had a fumble recovery in the endzone for a touchdown, and Riley Siudzinski a pick six for a touchdown.

The Trojans committed four second half turnovers.

The Jaguars improve to 2-3 on the season and will travel to Manitowoc next week to take on the Ships in a key FRCC playoff encounter.

DE PERE- The West De Pere girls golf team finished third out of seven teams at the Phantoms Invite. (Sept. 11)

Alyssa Cayer and Ally Reis each carded a 51 at Mid Vallee Golf Club

DE PERE-The West De Pere boys soccer team won their fourth straight game by defeating the Seymour Thunder by a final of 2-0. (Sept. 11)

DE PERE-The Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes defeated the West De Pere Phantoms girlโ€™s tennis team by a final of 4-3. (Sept. 11)

Five of the seven hotly contested matches went to three sets.

Christina Qui and Brooklyn Steier picked up three set wins at three and four singles.

HOWARD- The West De Pere Phantoms boys cross country team finished fourth out of eleven teams at the Bay Port Pirates Invitational held at Meadowbrook Park. (Sept 13)

Jermaine Evans finished fourth individually, 28 seconds behind winner Ryan Thieme of Bay Port.
