Phantoms stay unbeaten in football: Ashwaubenon/West De Pere Roundup

ASHWAUBENON-The Jaguars girls volleyball team defeated the Sheboygan South Redwings in three sets 25-9, 25-13, 25-21 in Fox River Classic Conference action (Sept.6).

Maria Scherer had 17 assists, 12 aces, and 6 digs. Maddie Koch had 14 kills and 11 digs, and Maddie Crowley added 9 kills and 5 digs.

 

ASHWAUBENON-The Ashwaubenon girls tennis team picked up a victory over Green Bay Southwest by a final of 6-1 (Sept.6).

It was the first victory for the Jaguars over the Trojans in almost two decades.

The four singles players for Ashwaubenon dropped a combined 10 games en route to victory.

Delaney Christensen and Kennedy Conradt got the fourth clinching point for the Jaguars by winning a tight two set match.

DE PERE- Phantoms senior Jermaine Evans won the Phantom Cross-Country Invitational held at Southwest Park. (Sept. 6)

Evans and Luke Donart of Fox Valley Lutheran were the front runners for the first mile of the race until Evans pulled away in the back half to win by 36 seconds.

The Phantoms finished third overall as a team.

The Phantoms swept the singles with a come from behind victory by number one singles player Josie Johnson.

LUXEMBURG-The West De Pere Phantoms improved to 4-0 on the year with a 33-14 victory over the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans (Sept. 7).

Josh Blount rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns, and Cody Cavil added 113 yards and one touchdown.

Blount connected with Jake Karchinski on a 21-yard touchdown reception.

Alex Spitzer led the Phantoms with nine tackles.
