Tenth annual ‘Taste of Ashwaubenon’ deemed successful

This year’s event raises more than $17,000 for Jaguar Backers

ASHWAUBENON – The 10th annual  “Taste of Ashwaubenon” was held Wednesday, March 14, at Stadium View and raised more than $17,000 for activities at Ashwaubenon High School, said high school activities director/associate principal Nick Senger.

“Jaguar Backers give this money to teams and clubs that have needs and make a request to the Jaguar Backers,” Senger said. “The Jaguar Backers have given over $450,000 to different teams, clubs and projects over the last 10 years.”

This year’s Taste of Ashwaubenon featured food from a variety of vendors along with raffle items, a raffle for a Polaris ATV and music by The Cougars.

“A special thank you to Patty Kiewiz and Kim Ricker, chairs of the ToA committee, and Casi Rynish, president of the Jaguar Backers, for their time and commitment to supporting and giving students at AHS the things they need,” Senger said. “All the volunteers that make this a successful event, without them this is not possible.

“A thank you to the businesses that come to the ToA and serve their food and give back to the AHS community. Also, a huge thank you to those that attend the ToA. Without a supportive community these events are not successful.”
