BROWN COUNTY – Week 4 of the alternate fall football season brought area teams past the halfway point in their abbreviated seven-game schedules.
Ashwaubenon records first win
After dropping three straight games to begin the season, the Jaguars (1-3) recorded a 40-29 home win vs. Oshkosh North.
Ashwaubenon running back Connor Ramage rushed for 364 yards on 30 attempts with three touchdowns.
No other stats were available online.
Bay Port drops second straight
The Pirates (2-2) lost a 21-20 road game vs. Neenah.
After falling behind 7-0 in the second quarter, Bay Port’s Jayden Montgomery returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown to tie the game after the extra point.
The Rockets took a 13-7 lead into halftime.
After a scoreless third quarter, the Pirates got a pair of touchdown runs from Montgomery in the fourth quarter to take a 20-13 lead
Bay Port missed one of the extra-point attempts.
Neenah scored a touchdown later in the quarter and had a successful 2-point conversion to squeak out the win.
Montgomery and Matt Grzybowski rushed for 52 and 49 yards, respectively, while quarterback Eli Frank was 9-of-17 passing for 150 yards.
Receiver Mitch Merhalski hauled in five balls for 139 yards.
De Pere remains unbeaten
The Redbirds (4-0) kept their perfect record intact with a 22-14 road win vs. Appleton West.
De Pere took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
Quarterback Gabe Herman hit receiver Noah Gehin with a 16-yard touchdown toss and Herman added a 1-yard score late in the quarter.
West tied the game with five seconds remaining in the half.
Running back Adam Timbrook scored the game-winning touchdown late in the third quarter on a 7-yard scamper.
The Redbirds added the 2-point conversion for the final margin.
Timbrook pounded out 188 yards rushing on 21 carries, while Herman added 99 yards on 13 attempts.
Preble blanked by Fond du Lac
The Hornets (1-3) got throttled by Fond du Lac on the road, 63-3.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran wins at home
The Blazers (2-2) won a 54-36 home game vs. Sevastopol in 8-man action.
N.E.W. Lutheran took a 26-12 lead into halftime and then scored 14 points in each of the third and fourth quarters.
