Tritons continue momentum in FRCC

Posted

GREEN BAY — The Notre Dame Academy Tritons (13-3 overall, 10-2 conf.) secured a 77-59 win over the Pulaski Red Raiders in their match up on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

“I thought we defended with really good energy. Best energy we’ve had since our De Pere game,” said Tritons Head Coach Brian Bobinski.

The Tritons currently sit at No. 2 in the Fox River Classic Conference (FRCC) standings, behind only the De Pere Redbirds as they near the end of their season.

“I just thought we were closer to being the best version of ourselves today and we just thought about that and trying to put the best version of ourselves out there on every single night we play. Offensively we had all kinds of guys scoring the ball. Andrew (Rader) had a big game obviously,” said Bobinski.

Rader had 18 points on the night to help his team to the victory.

“I feel like we just played together really well and we defended really well. I feel like that was one of our biggest focuses going into the week. We did all those things together and came out with a win,” said Rader.

With only eight games remaining in the season, the Tritons will look for little improvements anywhere possible to get better on the court.

“I’m just really looking forward to seeing what we can do and what we are capable of. We have a really good group of young kids. We have a lot of different guys with a lot of different experience,” said Rader.

“Our different experiences are going to be really interesting as we get into the second half of season, and I’m just really excited to see what we’re capable of. We know what we’re capable of, but the ability to go show that out on the court is a whole different level,” said Rader.

After leading 38-26 going into the second half, the Tritons were only able to continue lengthening their lead in the second half, ultimately taking the 18-point victory by the end of the game.

“Obviously we’ve got some good momentum here and we’re excited about that. We can’t loose sight of what got us here and how we’ve been playing at this point,” said Bobinski.

The Tritons will travel to face Manitowoc Lincoln in their next game on Friday at 7 p.m.

The Red Raiders will host the Ashwaubenon Jaguars at home on Friday at 7 p.m.
