Noah Stascak (STA-ZICK) is a senior at Bay Port High School on the boys’ soccer and track teams.
Stascak, who has interests in the medical field, is looking at UW-La Crosse, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Milwaukee or St. Norbert College to further his education. He is not sure if soccer is in his collegiate plans, but it’s possible track might be an option at the next level.
In his spare time, he likes to go up north to his family cabin, tubing, downhill skiing and hanging out with his cousins.

Do you have any siblings? If so, what are their names and grade levels?
“I have two younger brothers, Sam and Max. Max is 10 and is going into the fifth grade. Sam is 12 and going into the eighth grade.”
Do you come from a sports family?
“Max plays soccer and also runs track, and Sam isn’t really into sports – he’s more into school. My dad was an athlete and was really fast. He was good at baseball and also played basketball.”
Have you always just done soccer and track while at Bay Port, or did you ever try any other high school sports?
“I played football my freshman year, but felt I would get more playing time in soccer.”
What’s it like playing for coach Herber?
“Your first impression of him is that he’s going to be intimidating, but once you get to know him, he’s a great guy and I think he’s a good coach. He gets along with all the guys.”
How about a high school sport you wish you would have done or at least tried?
“I wish I would have played basketball and started off younger, but I’m not very tall.”
What would be your most memorable sports moment?
“Last season in track and winning conference. We weren’t expected to do that – it came down to the last race. We were the underdogs, so it was pretty cool to win.”
What about a most embarrassing one?
“Nothing specific comes to mind but anytime in soccer when you just completely whiff the ball.”
How is the soccer team looking this year?
“We lost like 12 seniors from last year’s team. We have five seniors this year, so we are a young team. We have a lot of sophomores and juniors – there’s definitely talent there.”
Are you a World Cup or MLS fan?
“I like watching the World Cup. Since my mom was born in Mexico, I’m a fan of Mexico and Spain.”
Last season your 4x100 relay track team narrowly missed out on a trip to state. Can you guys get there next spring?
“I really think we can. With being so close last year, it just motivates us to work harder and get there this season.”
What is something about you most people wouldn’t know?
“I hate frogs and snakes – they’re gross! If there was a snake near us, I’d be out of here.”
