Let’s talk about your golfing ability.

“I have a pretty good drive, but my short game could have been worked on. Having people watch me made me really nervous.”

“I’d say about 200 yards.”

How long have you been golfing?

“I started when I was pretty young with my family. I did volleyball my freshman and sophomore year and cross country my junior year. My dad wanted to see how I could so I went out this year for the first time.”

How about a high school sport you wish you would have done?

“I’ve always thought hockey was cool.”

Do you have a most memorable sports moment?

“I think just the improvement from my first meet to the end of the year.”

A most embarrassing one?

“My first meet ever on my very first hole, we were putting. The other girl didn’t pick up her ball, so I putted and hit her ball and got a two-stroke penalty. I was so embarrassed.”

Let’s talk track – what are your goals for this season?

“I hope to get into the ‘40s with my time in the 300 hurdles and have a shot at advancing beyond sectionals.”

What is something about you most people wouldn’t know?

“We have a hobby farm with horses, chickens, dogs and cats. We used to have goats.”

What three words best describe you?

“Hard-working, caring, easy-going.”

Besides Wisconsin, what state is your favorite and why?

“I’d say Colorado or Utah because I’ve always wanted to see the mountains.”

If you could be anywhere right now, where would it be?

“My grandma’s cabin in Iron River, Wisconsin. It’s right on a lake.”

Name a historical person you’d like to have lunch with and why?

“Rosa Parks because she was brave and strong.”
