What is it like to be a leader on the baseball team at Ashwaubenon High School? “It's a humbling experience. It means a lot to be looked up to on the team especially when I think back to when I was an underclassman looking up to the seniors.”
What is your most embarrassing moment ever in baseball? “Back in my sophomore year on JV, we were playing Sheboygan North and I was in left field. I got a pop fly hit to me and tried to throw it in before I even caught the ball. It hit me right above my eye. The guys still bring it up to this day.”
How many years have you been involved in baseball? “I have been playing since I was 5 years old.”
What is your most memorable moment? “My most memorable moment is when Mike Rottier hit a two-run homer against Bay Port this year. It was a lot of fun for the whole team.”
What's the hardest part about performing in a baseball competition? “The hardest part about baseball is definitely the mental aspect of it. Being able to learn from your mistakes and move on during a game is one of the hardest things that you have to do.”
If you could be somebody for a day, who would it be? “I would love to be any National Geographic photographer so that I could see the world and all of the diversity. I think that would be a life changing experience for me.”
Do you have a nickname or something a teammate calls you during a game? “Everyone calls me Secor or Sec (seek).”
What is one thing that other teammates or coaches don't know about you? “I'm a pretty open person about my life but if there's one thing that people don't know about me it would be that I love to bike.”
A game with a single, double, triple, and home run (cycle) or a big team win? “A big team win is always fun and a great achievement.”
What are your college aspirations? “I am attending UW-La Crosse to pursue a career in physical therapy. I'll be rooming with one of my best friends Rottier who plays a major role on our team.”
What would your dream job be once you graduate? “I would love to be a physical therapist because I love working with people and I feel like it would be a very rewarding job.”
What are your hobbies? “I love to do anything outdoors such as biking, fishing, hammocking, as well as hanging out with friends.”
What is your favorite type of music? “I listen to all kinds of music, but my favorite would have to be country for sure.”
What is your favorite thing to do on your phone? “I use my phone for Snapchat, Twitter, and Instagram.”
What three words describe you? “Genuine, friendly, happy”
What is your favorite trip ever taken? “I went on a class trip to Peru this past spring break for 11 days. It was the best trip I have ever taken, and I was able to go with one of my friends Josh King along with other classmates which made the trip even more memorable.”
