What is it like to be a leader on the football team at Ashwaubenon High School? “It’s an honor being a leader on the football team because a lot of my teammates look up to me. I see this as an opportunity to help them get better and therefore improve as a team. Not many people get to be in my spot in their lifetime and I am thankful for that.”

What is your most embarrassing moment ever in football? “Getting tackled by Logan Blazek in practice my sixth-grade year.”

How many years have you been involved in football? “Thirteen years”

What is your most memorable moment? “My first game of my sophomore year. This was also my first time playing on a Friday night and the moment will always be with me as I get older. The crowd and intensity of the game was crazy to me at the time.”

What's the hardest part about performing in a football game? “Playing on both sides of the ball is the hardest part about performing in a football game. To go play offense after a long defensive stand is always exhausting.”

If you could be somebody for a day, who would it be? “I would definitely be my AP government teacher Eric Mommaerts for a day. His strange sense of humor and crisp smile has always brightened up my day.”

What is your sports routine before a big game starts? “The biggest thing for me is I do not eat before games. I usually arrive early and get taped up right away. I then proceed to lay down somewhere and listen to music until team meetings. I don’t really get hyped up or anything.”

Do you have a nickname or something a teammate calls you during a game? “Acorn”

What is one thing that other teammates or coaches don't know about you? “My dad was an all-state running back in high school.”

Winning individual honors or a big team win? “Why not both?”

What are your college aspirations? “I want to go to a great school for academics and play football if I am given the opportunity.”

What would your dream job be once you graduate? “Stay at home dad.”

What are your hobbies? “Chilling with the boys.”

What is your favorite event ever attended? “Wisconsin vs. LSU at Lambeau. The atmosphere was crazy.”

What is your favorite type of music? “Anything by Lil Uzi.”

What is your favorite thing to do on your phone? “My favorite thing to do on my phone is open snapchats from Alex Steinfest. They are always entertaining.”

What three words describe you? “Funny, intelligent, athletic”

What is your favorite trip ever taken? “Puerto Rico. I didn’t like the heat, but the experience I had there was unforgettable.”

TV or Outdoor Activities? “TV- 100 percent”

Comments on Camden Wheeler: “Cam is a prototypical linebacker,” said Mark Jonas, Ashwaubenon football coach. “He is big, strong, fast, and knowledgeable. He is a tremendous leader who shows up in the classroom and has great grades. He puts great effort in the weight room, and that translates to the field where he plays with great passion. It's just too bad that we don't have any more Wheeler sons coming up through AHS.”
