Posted

DE PERE – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region will host a public involvement meeting (PIM) on Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. at West De Pere Middle School, 1177 S. Ninth St., De Pere.

The meeting will provide information and discussion on the proposed improvements to WIS 32 (Main Avenue and Reid Street) between Third Street and Eighth Street in the city of De Pere.

A short presentation will begin at 5:15 p.m.

The remainder of the meeting will follow an open house format.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak with project staff one-on-one during the open house.

“The objective of this meeting is to review project design refinements and progress since the last PIM in January of 2025, discuss upcoming project milestones, review anticipated real estate and traffic impacts, and receive project public comments,” a DOT release stated.

“Construction is currently scheduled for 2028. Utility construction and relocations are scheduled to occur in 2027. Traffic impacts include roadway closures and detours.

“The purpose of this project is to restore the ride quality of the existing deteriorated pavement and upgrade other roadway deficiencies within the project limits.
