Pirates knocked out in quarterfinals

GREEN BAY – The Bay Port Pirates (29-2) girls volleyball team advanced to the WIAA State Tournament as the No. 6 seed where they fell in the quarterfinals to No. 3-seeded Menomonee Falls on Thursday, Nov. 7. 

The Pirates kept the match close with final set scores of 18-25, 21-25 and 21-25. 

Chloe Parker had 15 kills and 8 errors on the night. 

The Pirates earned their first ever trip to the State Tournament following their FRCC Championship with a regular season record of 26-2 and conference record of 9-0. 

Bay Port won their Appleton North Sectional Final match against Kimberly with final set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-23. 

Menomonee Falls will advance to face Hamilton (37-7) in the semifinals.
