People of Brown County – Tom Mathias

Tom Mathias was born in Madison, but moved to Green Bay when he was in first grade. A 1976 Green Bay Southwest High School graduate, Mathias, who is now retired, worked for Morning Glory Dairy for 32 years as a sales representative.

"I worked with the farmers and the processed milk," he said.

Mathias is making the most of his retirement – playing pickleball as much as he can and spending winters in Mission, Texas (which is located at the southern tip of Texas before Mexico), as snowbirds with his wife Arlene.

"My wife also plays pickleball and is a 'Yooper,'" he said. "Both of my kids live in Green Bay. I have one grandchild who just turned six."
