Owen Brennan is a forward/midfielder on the Green Bay Preble boys’ soccer team.
The Hornets have advanced to the WIAA Division 1 state tournament two of the past three years.
In addition, Preble has won four straight Fox River Classic Conference championships, going 33-1-2 during that stretch.
What it’s like to be a leader on the soccer team at Preble High School?
“Being a part of the Preble soccer team is something special because we are always a strong team year every year. As a senior on the team, I like to help the younger guys with some of the same problems I struggled with and try to lead by example.”
What's your favorite sports podcast?
“Jim Rome or Joe Rogan.”
What is your most embarrassing soccer moment?
“Missing a wide-open goal against Manitowoc during my sophomore year.”
Who is your role model?
“My siblings – they both push me and support me to be my best.”
What is your most memorable moment?
“The postseason and the road to state with my team last year.”
What do you enjoy least about practice?
“Bringing the equipment to the coach’s car.”
What's the hardest part about performing in a soccer match?
“Having to make a big play or trying to score when you are already very tired.”
If you could be somebody for a day, who would it be?
“Cristiano Ronaldo.”
As a senior, what advice would you say to a freshman on the team?
“Don’t overthink things – play soccer for fun.”
If you could choose any college in the U.S. to attend, where would you choose?
“Carleton College because it’s a great school, and I could play soccer there.”
What is the hardest thing about being a teenager in today's society?
“Keeping your Snapchat streaks.”
What would your dream job be once you graduate?
“A teacher or something in business. I also would like to coach soccer in the future.”
What are your hobbies?
“Reading, going outdoors, listening to music and mowing my lawn.”
If you could take any foreign language in school (besides the ones offered), what would it be?
“Ukrainian so I could speak to my neighbors. They would probably be really surprised if one day I just joined their conversation.”
What is your favorite event ever attended?
“I attended a Real Madrid soccer game in Spain – it was really cool.”
If you could change one school rule, what would it be?
“Wearing hats in school.”
What is your favorite type of music?
“Rap music.”
What school tradition are you most proud of?
“Homecoming.”
What is your favorite thing to do on your phone?
“Watch YouTube videos.”

What is your favorite trip ever taken?
“Going to Ireland during the summer before the sixth grade. It was the first time I went out of the country and was a great experience.”
