Talk about making second-team all-state.
“Before the day started, I told myself not to get my hopes up. When the slide came up for second-team honors and it had a teammates name on it, I was proud of her. Then, I saw my name on the screen, and I was even more surprised. We made our way to each other and shared a special moment.”
What’s your most embarrassing dance moment?
“When I fell during a morning practice my sophomore year. We were doing kicks across the floor, and I slipped in front of my team and the summer school kids.”
Which teammate could perform on Dancing with the Stars?
“My friend Kayli. She’s open to new things.”
What’s your most memorable moment?
“When we won state twice my sophomore year. Our team went through lots that year, and it was amazing to finish on top.”
If you woke up and had 1,000 unread texts and could answer only 200 of them, how would you choose which ones to answer?
“I’m a huge procrastinator and probably would get too overwhelmed to answer. I would eventually, but it would probably be a week or so later.”
If you could be somebody for a day, who would it be?
“A labor and delivery nurse. I’m going to become a teacher in the future, so it would be cool to be someone who I won’t be.”
Who inspires you?
“My dance coach Rodney. I’ve always looked up to him. I’m a better dancer and person because of him. He’s the person who I go to for advice, and he tells the truth/what I need to hear. I’m thankful for his help throughout the years.”
How would you confront bullying if you saw it?
“I wouldn’t hesitate to step in and put a stop to the situation. I would focus more on the person who’s getting bullied and not put as much attention on the bully.”
Spiderman or Batman?
“Spiderman. I don’t know much about superheroes, but he seems well-rounded.”
What’s your dream job?
“To become a first-grade teacher; however, I’m open to any grade level.”
What are your hobbies?
“Besides dancing, I love camping and spending time with my cousins.”
What’s your favorite event ever attended?
“The Contest of Champions in Orlando, Florida. We got to dance and hang out at Disney World.”
What’s your favorite type of music?
“Country.”
What was the hardest class at Ashwaubenon?
“Physics 201 or Chemistry 201.”
What one word describes you?
“Determined.”
Australia or Japan?
“Australia, without the spiders.”
Do you have any siblings?
“I have two younger sisters – Braylie, who’s going to be a sophomore, and Layna, who’s going to be in the eighth grade. I will miss them most come August.”
What did you do for your community service hours at Ashwaubenon?
“I mostly volunteered for Ashwaubenon’s middle school dance team. Throughout my high school career, I made it a priority to help teach the girls what I knew.”
Favorite wake-up food or drink before going to school?
“Chocolate chip pancakes or an English muffin sandwich (with scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage bits, cream cheese and American cheese).”
What was your favorite costume to perform in?
“The DNA (pom from my sophomore year) or the Vegas girl costume (kick from my freshman year).”
