Connor Langreder is a lead pitcher and strong hitter on a Phantoms team that currently sits at 27-2 and won the Bay Conference with a 17-1 record.
On May 4, he delivered a no-hitter against arch-rival De Pere.
He lists country music mega-star Luke Bryan as a person he’d like to be for one day.
What teammates would you go see an MLB game with?
“Cameron Dupont and Jake Kocken.”
You committed to play Division I baseball for Northern Illinois.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity they have given me, and I’m excited to be able to play the sport that I love at the next level.”
What is your most embarrassing moment in baseball?
“My junior year I was starting a game, and when I was warming up on the mound, the announcer said that a car was left running. Immediately after, I heard my grandma get up and yell that it was her car.”
Who is the most likely to be late to practice?
“Ben Cherney.”
What's the hardest part about performing in a baseball game?
“Staying mentally focused and being able to keep that up every single pitch.”
What are your goals for the 2019 season?
“First we won our conference, now we want to win the state championship.”

“YouTube.”

“Almost everyone calls me Lenny.”
What is one thing that other teammates or coaches don’t know about you?
“One time when I was snowboarding, I knocked myself out cold after going over a jump. To this day, I don’t remember how I got to the lodge.”
What will you study at Northern Illinois?
“I plan to study business.”
What are your hobbies?
“Hunting, video games and snowboarding.”

“Competitive, driven, funny.”
If you could attend the World Series, what city would you want it to be in?
“I would like it to be in New York City and Yankees Stadium because I’ve always wanted to go there.”

“Randy Johnson, because he was feared on the mound, and that’s how I want to be.”

“I would rather rob someone of a hit.”
What are three things you're going to miss about attending West De Pere High School?
“Playing sports with the kids I’ve grown up with, all of my friends and the community.”

“Snorkeling in the Bahamas, because I love warm weather.”

“I would have liked to either swim or play volleyball.”
