At what age did you start playing your sport?
I have been playing soccer since I was three years old.

How has balancing academics been different from your senior year until now?
During the fall, I had a lot more free time and was more willing to do homework and study. It was definitely harder to stay motivated in the spring with graduation coming up and the soccer season taking up a lot of my time.

What is your favorite part about soccer and why have you stuck with it for so long?
I love everything about team sports in general because of the relationships and memories I have been able to make with my teammates. However, soccer has always been my #1 because I love the creativity that comes with the sport and how there are so many different skills involved with being a good player. I’ve stuck with it for so long because I never get bored of playing and I have so much passion for it.

Is there a professional or collegiate athlete you look up to?
I have always admired Lionel Messi’s talent and recently I’ve been a fan of Trinity Rodman because she is very skilled and fun.

What is the most challenging part of being a student-athlete?

The most challenging part for me is trying to stay motivated as a student during the season because I put so much energy into soccer and don’t want to also worry about school.

What is the most rewarding part of being a student-athlete?
Being a student-athlete is rewarding because I’ve been able to develop important skills like time management, perseverance, hard work and grow a lot as a person in both environments.

What has been your most memorable experience in high school sports so far?
Without a doubt, my most memorable experience from high school soccer was going to State my sophomore year as a No. 4 seed, upsetting both Kimberly and De Pere in penalty shootout games. I will never forget it and making it all the way to State was very unexpected. Additionally, after the Kimberly game, the bus took our team to Titletown for the Flo Rida concert because we were promised it if we won.

Any hobbies outside of sports?
Outside of soccer, I like to stay active by working out and doing activities like spikeball and pickleball with friends.

Top three songs on your workout playlist?
“Run This Town” by Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West, “NOKIA” by Drake and “Don’t Stop The Music” by Rihanna.

Favorite pre-workout meal?

Pasta is definitely a go-to for me as a meal. Otherwise, I like to eat goldfish and candy before working out.

What are your plans for the future?
I will be attending the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for Exercise & Sports Science on the Pre-Physical Therapy track and playing collegiate soccer.
