Career Highlight: Advancing to the first Sectional Finals in school history, my senior year.

At what age did you start playing your main sport?
Nine years old.

Who introduced you to the sport?
My parents. They love sports, so I have been watching basketball and all sports for a long time. Both of my sisters played basketball in grade school, so I have been in the gym with them for a while.

Has this always been your favorite sport? Why?
I have always enjoyed basketball, but it was not always my favorite. I went through a stretch where I liked baseball more than basketball from 8th grade to sophomore year.

How have you balanced academics and athletics in high school, and has it changed throughout the years?
I have balanced everything very well throughout high school. It has not changed throughout my career. I go to practice, get home, eat, homework. This has been my routine, and it has worked.

Throughout highschool, what goals have you achieved and what do you still hope to achieve?

Academically, I have always pushed myself to get the best grades possible, this is something that I want to take into college as well.

What is one class, or subject, that you thought you would hate but actually like?
I do not like English that much, but my college credit English in my senior year was a lot of fun. I enjoyed my class, and we got along really well, which contributed to a strong learning environment.

What is your go-to study method before a big test?
I usually just look over my notes once or twice, maybe watch some videos. I rely on remembering what I learned rather than cramming the night before.

How do you prepare, both physically and mentally, for tough games?
Physically, I am always stretching, I have three different routines that I do in order to prepare. Mentally, I try to relax. Tell myself to have confidence in myself and my team and to trust the work we have put in.

Who or what motivates you through obstacles? Why?
Knowing that it will make me better. I am willing to push myself when I know that it will benefit me in the future.

What is your favorite thing about being a student-athlete within your community?

The relationships that we create, as many of us play multiple sports. We follow each other in our sports and support each other when we can.

What is your favorite drill at practice, and why?
One of my favorite drills we do is 2 on 2 “football.” There are no fouls called, and it is the first to score. I like this drill because it makes you fight through contact and play physical.

Favorite game you’ve ever played in?
My sophomore year, we beat Ashwaubenon at home in the Regional Finals to secure the first-ever Regional Championship in NDA history.

Favorite pregame song?
For away games, I always walk into the school listening to “Headlines” by Drake.

Favorite post-game snack, meal, or beverage?
Protein smoothie.

Outside of sports, what are you involved in?

When I am not doing something sports-related, I will probably be cooking. It is by far my favorite hobby.

What is the most adventurous thing you’ve done?
Snorkeling on a volcano in Greece.

How do you think your highschool experience has shaped you as a person?
High school has made me realize who I am. It has given me friendships, faith and opportunities.

Future Plans? (college, major, career, etc.)
I will be attending UW-Oshkosh to play basketball and study business and finance.
