GREEN BAY – Earlier this week, the Horizon League announced All-League Awards, and University of Wisconsin-Green Bay men's basketball freshmen Kamari McGee and Cade Meyer were both selected to the Horizon League All-Freshman team.

McGee, a guard from Racine, is Green Bay's leading scorer and a three-time Horizon League Freshman of the Week.

On the season, McGee averaged 11.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

He had four 20-plus point performances, but his best came Dec. 9 against Wright State when he scored a career-high 24 points to go with 5 boards and 3 steals.

Meyer was strong all season but especially in league play.

In 20 league games, Meyer averaged 10.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game on 49% shooting.

Meyer scored a career-high 20 points against Cleveland State Dec. 20.

He almost notched a double-double against the Vikings, pulling down nine rebounds as well.

The Horizon League Basketball Championships are March 7-8 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Every game of the tournament will be carried on ESPN networks, with the first two rounds of the men's championship streamed on ESPN+, the semifinals on ESPNU and ESPN2 and the championship on ESPN.
