Local youth donates hoof-trimming stations to NEW Zoo
Maverick Poppe, right, from Scout Troop 1107, led the construction of two goat hoof-trimming stations for the NEW Zoo. The project was completed as Poppeās Eagle Scout project for Boy Scouts of America, with the help of 24 volunteers who spent 67 hours on the project. The goat hoof-trimming stations were delivered to the zoo on Jan. 12. Poppe is eligible to go in front of a board of review this summer. Poppe is a student at the Howard-Suamico School District.
