LEDGEVIEW – The Ledgeview Decorating Contest, is back for its fifth year.

Sponsored by the town’s Beautification Committee, the contest encourages residents to get their festive juices flowing as they go above and beyond with their holiday decorations this year.

“Each year the contest gains momentum and we hope it keeps growing,” said Stephanie Schlag, Park and Recreation director for the Town of Ledgeview. “This time of year can evoke many different feelings for people, the committee wants to recognize the efforts of those who spend time decorating their house or business to help spread cheer and light.”

Organizers said the goal of the contest is to strengthen the sense of community and pride amongst neighbors and businesses throughout Ledgeview.

“Community events like this give the town an identity and the residents a sense of pride,” Schlag said. “Community events strengthen the connections between neighbors and help create traditions. Plus it is fun.”

The contest is open to any house or business in the Town of Ledgeview.

Nominations should be sent to Lisa Bartz at lbartz@ledgeviewwisconsin.com by 5 p.m. Dec. 12.

All nominations need to include the address, state whether it is a home or business and include a photo, if possible.

More information on the contest can be found at ledgeviewwisconsin.com/2019-holiday-decorating-contest.

“Please feel free to nominate any Ledgeview resident house or business that you feel did a wonderful job decorating this year,” Schlag said.

Judging will take place between 5 and 9 p.m. the week of Dec. 16-20.

Gift cards to local businesses will be awarded to the first, second and third place locations.

Winners will be announced online by Dec. 20.
