LEDGEVIEW – Search for potential land for a prospective future park is taking place in Ledgeview.

The Ledgeview Town Board discussed the possibility of a new baseball diamond on a 20-acre or more land plot at their Oct. 6 meeting.

One parcel of land they were considering would sit east of Lime Kiln Rd. and west of Fonferek’s Glen.

The board discussed funding for the park and the expressed community interest in the new park.

No action was taken, with further funding discussion needed.

A quote received for the 2025 tree planting was approved.

Additionally, the town will be putting forth $1,400 for street tree replacement.

The board also unanimously approved an animal ordinance.

The age required for a dog to have a rabies vaccination has been changed from four years of age to five.
