GREEN BAY – The Greater Green Bay Chamber announced Jim Knopf, sales and marketing manager for SERVPRO of East and West Brown County, as Chamber Ambassador of the Year at the chamber’s annual dinner at the Lambeau Field Atrium, Sept. 19.
The Ambassador of the Year Award honors an ambassador who exemplifies volunteerism, acting as a greeting arm of the chamber by presenting referrals; volunteering for various activities including retention calls, new member calls, events, etc.; and demonstrating the highest level of commitment to fulfilling the chamber’s mission.
The award is voted upon by the chamber membership committee, a subcommittee of the chamber board.
Knopf has been a chamber ambassador for nearly three years and is impassioned about creating networking opportunities and making business contacts.
He participates in many ribbon cuttings, performs new member and retention calls, serves on the ambassador selection committee and volunteers for school presentations and application readings for the Golden Apple Awards.
He further serves as the co-chair of the annual Chamber Golf Outing. Outside the Chamber, he is involved in the Howard-Suamico Business Professional Association; participates in fund-raising for Bay Port High School scholarships; is on the board of directors for the Educational Veterans War Memorial; and serves on the community outreach redevelopment team for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, among many other activities.
“We are so fortunate to have someone like Jim working on behalf of the Greater Green Bay Chamber,” said Renae Schlies, vice president of membership and retention for the chamber. “He is an amazing example of the impact our volunteers have on our business community each and every day.”
