GREEN BAY – Bay Port’s McKenzie Johnson was recently named to the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Division 1 all-state team.
Bay Port, which finished 24-2, advanced to the WIAA state tournament for the second consecutive season before the tournament was canceled March 13 due to COVID-19.
Johnson averaged 13.6 points per game and made 77 three-pointers this season.
She ended her high school career with 926 points and 184 made three-pointers, which is more than 100 ahead of second place at Bay Port.
Green Bay Preble’s Carley Duffney and Kendall Renard were selected to the Division 1 honorable-mention all-state team.
Duffney, a Division I verbal commit to the University of South Dakota and the Fox River Classic Conference Player of the Year, averaged 18.2 points per outing for the 20-5 Hornets.
Renard, a Division 1 commit to UW-Green Bay and the FRCC Defensive Player of the Year, averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds per game.
