MADISON- Hallory Domnick was not intimidated by the big stage Friday evening at the Girls State Swim Meet.
Domnick took home a 5th place finish in the Girls 500 Yard Freestyle Race after swimming a personal best 5:15.10 to tie Whitefish Bay’s Ines Bengana at the wall.
She entered the last seven laps behind the pace set by eventual winner Kelly Rodriquez.
However, Domnick showcased tremendous desire down the stretch as she moved from seventh to sixth in the final 100 meters, and then swam a 30.64 last lap to make the podium.
Senior Emma Steffel took home an 8th place finish in the Girls 100 Yard Backstroke.
She went out with a 28.90 first fifty meters and finished with a sub minute (59.75) for the event.
A total of six Jaguar swimmers qualified for at least one event. O’Connell, Steffel, and Domnick each qualified for an astounding four events!
