GREEN BAY – The Horizon League recently announced its 2020-21 men's and women's basketball conference schedules.
All teams are scheduled to play a 20-game league schedule.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to help spread the virus, teams will play one league opponent twice each week with games taking place on consecutive days at the same location.
Schools will have five home weekends and five road weekends and will play 10 of 11 league opponents.
League play for the women begins Dec. 12-13, with Green Bay hosting Milwaukee.
The men's league season will get underway a week later, Dec. 19-20, when Milwaukee comes to town.
In conjunction with the league's announcement to not allow fans at Horizon League games in December, Green Bay has also decided to not allow fans for any of its non-conference games in November or December as well.
The Horizon League Board of Directors will reevaluate the attendance changes at a later date, as will the university.
The non-conference schedules for both teams will be released soon.
Earlier this fall, the university said all men’s games in November and December would be played on campus at the Kress Events Center.
The Phoenix men normally play their games at the Resch Center in Green Bay.
