Decent Criminal is finding its way to the Lyric Room at 8:30 p.m. on March 4.

The ‘90s alternative punk, surf and power-pop band originated in Santa Rosa, CA and is made up of band members Tristand and Hunter Martinez, Brian Gellman and Alex Kouninos. Their latest album, Bliss, released in 2019.

Decent Criminal will be joined by Avenues, a Midwest punk band, and Stalgic, an alternative rock/emo band from Green Bay.

The event is open to those ages 21 and up. Ticket info can be found on the Lyric Room’s Facebook page, Keggers, Exclusive Company, Rock n Roll Land and at the door.

Hippie Hoppy Hobo Release

Ahnapee Brewery, Suamico

Ahnapee Brewery is celebrating the return of its IPA, Hippie Hoppy Hobo (HHH), at 12 p.m. on March 5.

HHH is Ahnapee’s first ever triple IPA, and was awarded a score of 93 out of 100 by Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine.

HHH has a 10% ABV, and is Triple Dry Hopped with Talus, Centennial and Citra for a bold citrusy flavor.

The brew will be offered both on draft and in bottles. The re-release is for those ages 21 and up.

The BIG Book Sale

Brown County Library, Central Branch, Green Bay

Grab your tote bags and head down to Brown County Library’s Central Branch, the Friends of the Brown County Library will be hosting their BIG book sale starting March 8.

Shop from an array of used fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, children’s books, audio books and more. Large print books will be available for purchase as well.

Members of the Brown County Library get a head start on their book shopping a day early, from 4 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. on March 7.

The sale runs through March 12.

newART II Opening Reception

newARTSpace, De Pere

Join newARTSpace at 5 p.m. on March 10 for the opening reception of their new exhibit, newART II, which is the second installment from newART I.

Dan Cross, Kristy Deetz, Carol Emmons, Tom Friese, Jane Constable Hostetler, Minkyu Lee, Marjorie Mau, Karen Stewart, Christine Style and Terri Warpinski will be featured in newART II.

Live music from Good for the Soul will be playing during the reception.

The event is free and open to the public to attend.

We Banjo 3

Meyer Theatre, Green Bay

We Banjo 3 is making its way to the Meyer Theatre just in time for Saint Patrick’s day. The band, half of which is from Galway, Ireland takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. on March 10th for its Spring Awakening Tour.

The band is made up of two sets of brothers–Enda and Fergal Scahill of Galway and Martin and David Howley of Nashville, Tennessee.

Combining the brothers’ traditions with Americana, Bluegrass and Celtic music along with instruments like the fiddle, mandolin, guitar and, of course, the banjo.

Tickets are $25.

Mark Twain Revisited

See local actor Parker Drew in his tribute to America’s greatest author and humorist, Mark Twain.

Drew has toured over 500 theaters in 37 states with this one-man show. It’s a unique peek into the life of Mark Twain, brought to life by veteran television, radio, and theatrical performer Parker Drew.

Tickets start at $20. The event starts at 7:30 p.m.
