A throwback to the '90s and 2000s, a search for the heart and a family day full of STEM activities

The Bar-Lime Kiln, Green Bay
Wet Possum will play at The Bar on Lime Kiln at 9 p.m. on Friday, April 29th, and will play a variety of nostalgic ’90s and 2000s cover songs from artists such as Blink-182 and Good Charlotte.
The show is free to attend for those ages 21+.
STEM Family Day
Saturday, April 30
Brown County STEM Innovation Center, Green Bay
The Brown County STEM Innovation Center on the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay campus will host an inaugural STEM Family Day event at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30.
The hands-on event will include robotics, rockets, arcade games, food trucks and more.
Prior to the event, JBS Foods will present a $250,000 gift to help with STEM Education in Brown County and Northeast Wisconsin.
After the check presentation, the JBS STEM Resource Center will be unveiled.
Habitat Exhibit
Sunday, May 1
Green Bay Botanical Garden, Green Bay
Habitat, an exhibition that explores the need for varied habitats, how interconnected and fragile they are and what humans can do to protect them, is set to open at the Green Bay Botanical Garden May 1.
Habitat was developed by Smithsonian Gardens and is made available by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.
The exhibition is open during normal garden hours and is included in general admission.
The exhibition will be at the garden until April 30, 2023.
The Search for the Heart
Sunday, May 1
Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center, Ashwaubenon
The Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center (PAC) will host two showings of Malana, The Search for the Heart at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 1.
Inspired by the Disney film Moana, the story, presented by Unlimited Dance Company, follows a young woman preparing to take over her father’s position as chief of the village.
Tickets start at $12.
Winter Blast Gala
Friday, April 29
Resch Expo, Green Bay
Syble Hopp School, a public school for students with disabilities, is hosting its 17th Annual Winter Blast Gala at 5 p.m. Friday, April 29 at the Resch Expo.
Funds raised from this year’s gala will benefit a planned expansion.
The event is open to those 18+, with an entry fee starting at $50.
