GREEN BAY – Taylor DeBroux grew up in southern Door County, where most of her family currently resides.
“I attended St. Norbert College, where I graduated with a bachelors degree in psychology and certifications in human services and Spanish language and earned magna cum laude honors. I also spent a semester enrolled at the University of College Cork in Ireland,” DeBroux said.
“My first job was working at my grandma’s craft store. During high school, I spent my summers making rubber stamps, selling scrapbook paper, and appreciating all that goes into running a small business alongside family.”
DeBroux is employed with the Boys & Girls Club of the Bay & Lakes Region, where is has held various titles and roles, ranging from program assistant to her current role as senior director of continuous improvement.
“I started working at the Boys & Girls Club at the beginning of my sophomore year at St. Norbert. In my 13 years with the organization, I’ve contributed to direct youth service, fund development and organizational improvement functions. Most recently, I’ve supported post-merger integration work, strategic planning efforts and program development and evaluation,” she said.
“I believe my tenure of varied perspectives within the company has been influential in getting my career to the place it is now. It’s allowed me to truly understand the needs of those my organization serves while advocating for realistic solutions to challenges and championing change efforts.
Taylor counts among her leadership values “integrity – being judicious in my decision making, always striving to do the right thing; trust – being authentic, honest and transparent, fostering a sense of connection, belonging and a common purpose within and across teams; and service – giving generously of my time and knowledge to uplift and provide opportunities to others.”
She plans to continue serving in the human services and nonprofit areas while honing her skill set and expanding her influence within “organizations that make a positive impact in the greater Green Bay community.”
