SUAMICO – The Fox River Classic Conference  will be well represented in the upcoming WIAA state football playoffs.

All games are currently scheduled for Friday, Oct. 20, at 7:00.

Starting with FRCC champ Bay Port, the No. 1 seeded Pirates will host No. 8 Eau Claire Memorial (6-3) in a Division 1 game at Bay Port High School. By virtue of its 9-0 record, the Pirates drew the top seed in the bracket and could potentially host three games. The last time the two teams met was in a Level 1 game in 2015, with the Old Abes blanking the Pirates 29-0 at Bay Port.

Division 2 Ashwaubenon snuck in with a 4-5 conference record and received a seven seed. The Jaguars won’t have to travel far in playing FRCC rival Green Bay Southwest (8-1), who is the number two seed. The Trojans beat the Jags earlier in the season, 38-26, in week five.

In other games involving FRCC teams, No. 7 Green Bay Preble (6-3) will travel to No. 2 Appleton North (6-2) in a Division 1 game.

No. 6 Pulaski (5-4) will travel to No. 3 Appleton West (6-3) in a Division 2 contest. West is the biggest school in the Division 2 playoff field.

No. 3 Green Bay Notre Dame (7-2) will host No. 6 Luxemburg-Casco (6-3) in a Division 3 showdown.

The Ashwaubenon/Southwest winner would play Pulaski in a Level 2 game if the Red Raiders can pull off the upset against West.
