MADISON—The Ashwaubenon girls swim team was well represented down at the WIAA State swim meet held at the Natatorium on the campus of UW-Madison. (Nov. 9)
Hallory Domnick was the top finisher for the Jaguars with a fourth-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle race.
Domnick flew out the first 25 yards with a 28.05 and then dug in and swam 30 second laps the remainder of the race.
She surpassed her sectional time by almost two full seconds in finishing with a 5:10.88.
“It was a great experience for this young team,” said Jennifer Steffel, Ashwaubenon swim coach. “Hallory’s race was very exciting. She kept her nerve and set a team record. This group was an absolute pleasure to coach. They will only get better as the year’s go on.”
The Jaguars finished in 19th place overall with 40 points.
