De Pere civics club seeks nominations

DE PERE – The De Pere civics clubs are seeking nominations of a De Pere police officer or fire-rescue team for outstanding service to the De Pere Community in 2024.

If a De Pere police officer or fire-rescue member has made an impact in your life or someone you know, consider a nomination.

This is the 10th year for the recognition by De Pere civic clubs, Rotary, Optimist, Lions, Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 2113 & Auxiliary, Pink Flamingos and Women’s and Men’s Clubs of De Pere.

Last year, Lea Taylor was selected as “Outstanding Fire Rescue” staff and Detective Sergeant Aaron Hanson for the “Beyond the Call Award.”

Detective Sergeant Hanson earned the Beyond the Call for his handling of a fentanyl drug case.

He was nominated by the affected family.

Lea was nominated by the civic clubs for her work on the program to honor De Pere first responders, taking on the therapy dog program and Christmas gift giving “Families in need.”

Nominations for 2024 should be submitted prior to Dec. 31.
