DE PERE – The De Pere basketball program kicked off the 2018-19 season with the fourth annual Redbird Family Night Nov. 18 at De Pere High School.
The event was sponsored by Associated Bank and was held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 in the high school gymnasium.
As the lights were dimmed, the youth squads were introduced, followed by the high school teams.
The fun-filled presentation included a light show, music and warm-ups by the teams.
Varsity girls’ coach Jeremy Boileau and varsity boys’ coach Brian Winchester each took a few minutes to thank those in attendance and discuss the upcoming season.
Concessions, raffles, giveaways and performances from the band and dance team took place.
The evening culminated with a performance from the Milwaukee Bucks Rim Rockers wowing the crowd. The Rim Rockers are an acrobatic group of young men who use trampolines and skill in their high-flying dunking presentation.
