Common council primary set for Feb. 19

DE PERE – There will be a primary election Feb. 19 in De Pere for the Common Council.

Larry Lueck of the first district filed non-candidacy papers on Dec. 5. He has served on the council since 2011.

Looking to replace him are Amy Chandik Kundinger, Randy Soquet and Emilio Montero.

The top two vote getters advance to the April 2 general election.

Another council seat will be contested in April. Incumbent Casey Nelson will face Brandi Kiskis. Nelson has been on the council since April 2017.

Incumbents Jonathon Hansen of the second district and Dean Raasch of the third will run unopposed.

Three candidates for De Pere school board three seats

The Unified School District of De Pere Board of Education has three seats up for election in April with three candidates who will run unopposed for three-year terms.

Mark Meneau, the current treasurer, has been on the board since 2010. He will seek re-election in April.

Mike Paroubek, who was appointed to the board in May 2018 to replace Paul Summerside, will run for election.

Tammy Mocarski filed non-candidacy papers. She has been on the board since 2010.

Bob Mathews filed election papers to run.

West De Pere incumbents unopposed

Two incumbents seeking re-election in the West De Pere School District will be running unopposed in April.

Scott Borley, current clerk, has been on the board since 2016. He will be seeking his second three-year term.

Barb Van Deurzen, current board president, has been on the board since 2001. She is seeking her sixth term.

All members of the school board are elected at large.
