Broadway District welcomes two new businesses

Posted

The public was invited this week to join On Broadway, Inc. and City of Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich to cut the ribbon for two businesses that recently opened their doors in the Broadway District.

One business, Irish Temper, is brand new while the other, FiveThumbsUp, relocated within the Broadway District.

Irish Temper is brand new to the Broadway District and is owned by Tony Wiltgen, who also owns another Broadway District business, White Dog.

Irish Temper is Green Bay’s newest pub, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of a traditional Irish pub.

The small but curated drink menu features a selection of beers, whiskeys and cocktails, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

FiveThumbsUp relocated within the Broadway District, as it was formerly a business inside The Cannery Test Kitchen which closed this past summer.

Owner Jill Schultz will offer her famous cheesecake options including the beloved cheesecake flights and cake pops, but now has an expanded menu that includes kringle.

“Having business owners that believe in the vision for the Broadway District is the ultimate goal,” said Brian Johnson, president and CEO with On Broadway, Inc. “Owning a small business is not easy, and we are excited to celebrate with Jill and Tony. We are grateful they chose to invest in downtown Green Bay’s Broadway District and that they see its potential.”

Both businesses are located at 240 N Broadway, Green Bay.
