SUAMICO – With a break in the weather, the Bay Port High School track and field teams hosted the 13th Annual DeMerit Invitational May 3.
Eight schools – Appleton West (boys), Bay Port, De Pere, Kaukauna, Green Bay East, Green Bay Preble (boys), Green Bay West and Oshkosh West – competed in 18 events.
The Kaukauna girls won the title with 193.50 points, while Bay Port won the boys’ division by scoring 165.50 points.
De Pere’s Grace Kowalkowski highlighted the area results by winning the 100-meter hurdles, the pole vault and the long jump.
Sam Plumb from Bay Port was a double winner in the 200- and 400-meter dash.

400: Jordan Meulemans, De Pere, 1:02.03.
800: Kylie Trousil, De Pere, 2:27.30.
Pole vault: Kowalkowski, 11-06.00.
Long jump: Kowalkowski, 15-04.50.

110 hurdles: Monty Wendricks, Bay Port, 15.85.
1,600: Matthew Galler, De Pere, 4:29.90.
400: Sam Plumb, Bay Port, 50.39.
4x100 relay: De Pere, 44.97.
300 hurdles: Jack Rosner, De Pere, 41.43.
200: Plumb, 22.49.
3,200: Drew Dahlin, Bay Port, 9:58.62.
Discus: Braden Doyle, Bay Port, 157-02.
Shot put: Jason Wright, Green Bay West, 57-00.50.
