Bay Port all-conference fall honors: Thieme runner of the year

SUAMICO –Bay Port High School fall athletes teams took home plenty of hardware in the Fox River Classic Conference postseason awards.

Ryan Thieme was selected runner of the year in cross country, while Justin Howe was named the offensive player of the year in soccer.

WIAA Division 1 state girls’ golf champion, Jo Baranczyk, was named conference player of the year, while head coach Jeff Johnsen was the coach of the year.

Boys’ cross country

First team: Ryan Thieme, Drew Dahlin, Andrew Aderhold

Honorable mention: Andrew Abfall, Anthony Adriansen

Runner of the year: Thieme

Girls’ cross country

First team: Rachel Hoffman

Second team: Lindsay Herber

Girls’ golf

First team: Jo Baranczyk

Second team: Avery Dudra

Golfer of the year: Baranczyk

Coach of the year: Jeff Johnsen

Boys’ soccer

First team: Justin Howe (forward), Peyton Nichols (midfield)

Second team: Keegan Rusch (keeper), Noah Stascak (defense)

Honorable mention: Cameron DeBrouix (defense), Payton Schilz (midfield), Cy Schluter (midfield)

Offensive player of the year: Howe

Girls’ swimming

First team: Sasha Sliwinski (diving), Lasecki (200-yard individual medley, 100 butterfly), Sydney Aird (100 breaststroke), 400 freestyle relay team (Riley Melendy, Emily Calaway, Lacy Geurts, Lasecki)

Second team: Ella Thibert (diving), 200 medley relay team (Melendy, Aird, Lasecki, Adie Tooley), Geurts (100 freestyle), Calaway (500 freestyle), Melendy (100 backstroke)

Honorable mention: Melendy (200 IM), 200 freestyle relay team (Tooley, Emily Zimmer, Calaway, Geurts)

Volleyball

First team: Brooke Clement

Second team: Alyssa Koska

Honorable mention: Raegan McIntyre
