Area teams compete at Fond du Lac Invitational

FOND DU LAC – The Bay Port girls’ swimming and diving teams won the 15-team Fond du Lac Invitational at West Bend High School Oct. 4-5.

The Pirates’ 377 points bettered Appleton North’s 304.

Ashwaubenon finished eighth with 128 points.

Bay Port’s Emma Lasecki won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:06.14 and the 100 butterfly with a pool-record time of 57.28.

Emily Calaway swam to a time of 5:20.71 to win the 500 freestyle, while Sydney Aird did the same in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.92).

Ashwaubenon freshman Bryanna Bellile was victorious in the 50 freestyle (24.40) and the 100 freestyle (52.32).
