DE PERE—Sometimes all it takes is one good inning to win a game.That was the case, May 28, as West De Pere struck for three runs in the bottom of the fifth to defeat the Kimberly Papermakers 3-0 in a sectional semi-final game played on the campus of St. Norbert College.

GREEN BAY—Genesis Eggart threw a one-hitter as the No. 5 West De Pere softball team defeated No. 4 Green Bay Preble 6-2 in a game played May 23 at Finger Road Complex.

The Wets De Pere softball team used the hitting of Anna Young and the pitching of Genesis Eggart to post an 11-4 non-conference victory over Bay Port May 16.

Bailey Peterson is a senior at West De Pere High School who plays No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles.The Phantoms are currently undefeated in the Bay Conference.As of May 10, Peterson owns a record of 15-5.If he had one wish, it would be to better this world in every possible way, while keeping the freedom of all people.

West De Pere threatened in the bottom of the seventh, but the potential tying run popped out with two runners on base as No. 6-ranked Seymour scored a 5-2 victory.
