DE PERE—The De Pere girls’ volleyball team rallied from a set down to defeat the West De Pere Phantoms (21-25, 27-25, 25-21, 28-26) in a WIAA regional semi-final game played October 24 at DPHS.

Rebecca Day is a senior cross country runner for West De Pere High School.She has competed at the Seymour Invite and multiple Bay Conference duals and triangular meets.More importantly, Day is a role model off the course, as she regularly volunteers her time to help others in need.

Two days after dropping a tough, five-set match to conference leader Shawano Community, West De Pere picked up a Bay Conference victory on its home court Oct. 10 over New London in four sets (25-15, 28-30, 25-15, 25-10).

Cambria Budinger is a senior setter on the West De Pere volleyball team.She enjoys watching teammates put away kill shots.Budinger plans to study psychology and business in college, with St. Norbert being a possibility.

West De Pere junior quarterback Josh Blount rushed for a program-record 393 yards on 26 carries (six of those being touchdowns) in the Phantoms 56-42 Bay Conference victory over Menasha Sept. 27.

West De Pere High School senior Jamozzy Skenandore headed west late last week to participate in the 2019 PURE Insurance Golf Championship in Pebble Beach, California.

Sam Mommaerts is a tailback on the West De Pere football team.The Phantoms sit at 4-0 overall and are currently ranked No. 4 in the latest wissports.net Division 2 coaches poll.

DE PERE—The West De Pere Phantoms football team had four touchdowns of more than fifty yards to lift them to a 52-14 victory over the New London Bulldogs in a game played, August 30, at West De Pere high school.

Alyssa Cayer is a senior at West De Pere High School on the girls’ golf team.She has successfully hit a recovery shot between two tree trunks on a local golf course.Cayer would love to skydive after her 18th birthday and visit Iceland.

DE PERE—The Green Bay Preble boys’ soccer team didn’t look like it missed a beat from 2018 when it advanced to Milwaukee and the quarterfinals of the state tournament.
