Scoring the first 14 points of the game, the Redbirds utilized their efficient offense and lockdown defense to perfection. The result was another win — this time 80-37 — to stay undefeated and earn a season sweep against the Tritons in Fox River Classic Conference (FRCC) play on Thursday night.

For the first time since 2011, there will be a new track and field coach at De Pere High School.

De Pere hit 77% of its shots in the second half as it methodically downed Manitowoc Lincoln 84-47 in a Fox River Classic Conference game.

De Pere had won five straight, while Bay Port had lost two consecutive, but, the Pirates pulled away in the second half for a 53-41 victory.

Top-ranked De Pere outdistanced itself by scoring 42 second-half points and pulled away for a 75-53 victory at home over Bay Port on Tuesday.

The De Pere boys’ basketball team, ranked No. 1 in Division 1, will face its biggest test of the season on Jan. 14.

When John Kinziger hit a jumper in the second half, the De Pere senior broke the boys’ basketball career scoring record.

Allison — who goes by Alli — is a guard/forward for the Redbirds girls’ basketball team; she is averaging over eight points per game this season. Alli is also a four-year varsity member of the Redbirds girls’ soccer team, playing center defender.

In a match filled with pins, it was the West De Pere wrestling team that got the edge, beating host De Pere 42-36 on Dec. 20.

Behind 31 points from John Kinziger and 15 from Hogan Demovsky, the Redbirds hammered Bay Port on the road, 91-54.
