In an email from the WIAA dated Sept. 9, the organization and the University of Wisconsin-Madison announced state tournaments won’t be conducted at UW facilities this fall.

A high school/middle school 6-on-6 flag football passing league is being offered by the Ashwaubenon Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department.

After Bay Conference commissioner Mark Zahn said the league would be playing its fall sports, West De Pere, former members of the conference for football, will be joining the league again this fall.

On Aug. 14, The Green Bay Area Public School District decided to move all middle and high school fall sports to the spring, including football, boys’ soccer, boys’ and girls’ cross country, girls’ golf, girls’ tennis, girls’ swimming and diving and boys’ and girls’ volleyball.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the WIAA approved several details of a one-year alternative season in the spring for fall sports and reduced the number of weeks for sports during the 2020-21 winter and spring seasons at its Aug. 14 meeting.

Conner O’Neil, a 2014 Notre Dame Academy graduate, won the Brown County Amateur golf tournament Aug. 7-9.
