INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League released their list of 2023 Softball All-Academic Team honorees on May 6, recognizing student-athletes for success in the classroom and on the field.

UW-Green Bay athletes Brittany Baneck, Tiffany Giese  and Samantha Saloun all receive honors.

“Baneck maintains a 4.0 grade point average as an education major. Giese also boasts a 4.0 grade point average while majoring in education. Saloun has maintained a 3.9 grade point average while double majoring in psychology and human biology,” a Green Bay Athletics release stated.

The list included 17 honorees and two honorable mentions, representing nine of the 11 Horizon League schools.

Green Bay and Robert Morris University led the League with three All-Academic Team selections each

“To be eligible for Horizon League All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale), completed at least one year at the member institution, earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits, and participated in 50 percent of the team’s overall contests.”
