Cacy Peeters
Seymour Community High School

Parent Name: Carrie and Cory Peeters
Area of Interest: Fashion

When did you first get involved in fashion?
Destination Imagination, when I was in 4th grade.

What mediums do you primarily work with?
Fashion, sewing and drawing.

What has been your favorite experience related to art so far?
Making a tote bag for a fashion design class.

What’s something you hope to do/accomplish as an artist in the future?
Have my own business.

What advice would you give to someone looking to get into fashion?
Practice makes perfect.

Do you have any hidden talents?
I think I’m pretty good at doing eyeliner!

What’s your biggest pet peeve?
When someone messes up my room.

Where do you hope to travel one day?
New York City. I think it’s absolutely gorgeous there and my dream college is the Fashion Institute of Technology, so I would love to see that in person.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
If it doesn’t say you can’t, you can.

Who is your role model?
Nikita Dragun. She seems very confident in who she is and she doesn’t let hatred for who she is get to her, she just keeps going.

What plans do you have for after you’ve finished school?
I’d like to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York but my parents want me to attend a different school for at least a year first so I’m closer to home until I’m adjusted. But I would like to become a fashion stylist.

Do you have any pets?
A rabbit named Pancake and a dog named Mike McCarthy.

What’s one skill you think everyone should have?
Confidence in themselves. It is so important because people can come and go but you’re guaranteed to have yourself for the rest of your life, so you have to be comfortable and confident in who you are and how you act.

Are you a Green Bay Packers fan?
Yes!
