DE PERE – The Pulaski wrestling team is off to a perfect start in Fox River Classic Conference (FRCC) dual meets.

The Red Raiders took care of host De Pere on Jan. 12, posting a resounding 55-16 victory.

In their four FRCC victories, Pulaski has now outscored its oppoents, 284-25.

“Our kids wrestled and competed hard,” Pulaski coach Nate Preslaski said. “That’s really what we’re looking for. The results take care of themselves when you just compete.”

Asked if anyone certain wrestler stood out in the win vs. De Pere, Preslaski honored his entire team.

“I can’t single out any of them,” he said. “They all do their best each time out. It’s a good bunch of kids.”

Pulaski started out the dual by going up 15-0.

At 152, Austin Rybicki beat Maximus Cavanaugh by a 9-2 decision. Griffin Vanlannen (160) then pinned Diesel Dekeyser in 1:39 and Chase Woosencraft (170) won by forfeit.

Michael Alexander (182) got De Pere on the scoreboard with a 13-2 major decision over Will Friedman.

Pulaski added the next 10 points to go up 25-4.

Trenton Gibbons (195) beat De Pere’s Brennan Kincade on a major decision, 10-0. Lukas Ruechel (220) pinned Myles Rubringer in 1:44.

At 285, Jackson Bromberek scored a 2-1 decision over Pulaski’s Eric Sperduto.

De Pere’s Brooke Corrigan (106) beat Jake Frederickson on a 3-0 decision. Mycah Beckett (112) pinned Broc Ambrosios in 1:10 to pull the Redbirds closer at 25-16.

However, Pulaski tallied the last 30 points of the match to win going away.

Ethan Eggart (120) pinned Easton Pollock in 1:10 and Conner Nooyen (126) pinned Paden Clarke in 2:17.

Colin Pratt (132) scored a victory via forfeit.

Pulaski’s Cole Gorecki (138) pinned Connor Schenian in 4:50 and Mason Taylor (145) took down Charlie Jossart in 3:33.

Pulaski now prepares for its showdown with fellow 4-0 squad in an FRCC showdown. The dual will be held at Bay Port on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m.
