If you’ve ever wondered who is responsible for the fantastic fence art along Lombardi Ave. near Lambeau Field, meet Chris Handler, lifelong Green Bay resident and a bit of a Packers fan.
While some of the homeowners along Lombardi Ave. have in recent years started doing their own fence displays, it was Handler, a handyman and painter by trade, who began the tradition nearly two decades ago.
Handler said he draws inspiration from the community he has spent his whole life in. “Just being here all my life, in Green Bay 66 years.” Handler said. “I’ve seen this whole area get built up, the construction over the years. I love Green Bay, it’s in my blood.
