Name
Mia E. Ybarra

Medium/Art Form
Visual

When and how did you start making art?

I was 5 years old when I started drawing and water-painting, then I asked my parents for oil paints.
Then I started painting bigger ones.

What inspires your work?

Dragons, faces, abstract designs – a lot of things.

This one is called “fire dragon.” I painted three more, one with each element, and they all have dragons in them.

How would you describe Green Bay/NE Wisconsin’s arts community?

Friendly and nice.

I love going to the Art Garage exhibitions.

What is the best advice you have for other artists?

It’s ok if you mess up because it can still turn out beautiful. And always have white paint, it’s like an eraser.

Where can people find your work?

My paintings are sometimes in the Art Garage.

I want to share my art with everyone.

I asked my mom and soon I will have a Facebook account for my art.
