GREEN BAY – Bellin Health unveiled a plaque which will hang outside the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, honoring the late Mary Jane Bublitz.

Bublitz, who died in August of 2021, volunteered more than 10,000 hours at Bellin over more than 30 years as a member of Bellin’s Concerned Hearts Club.

The Concerned Hearts Club serves to support patients who have undergone heart surgery, as well as their loved ones.

Bublitz served as the coordinator of the Concerned Hearts ICU desk for many years, was the chief editor of the Quarterly Concerned Hearts Newsletter, trained new club members and served on Bellin’s Patient Advisory Board.

She provided families with a warm welcome and support in their times of need and advocated for ways to improve healthcare services for patients and their loved ones which has helped Bellin to improve how it serves its patients.

Bublitz also volunteered with the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Brown County Community Women’s Club and within her faith community.
